Frequently Asked Questions
Any questions you have may be answered here. Please contact me if there is anything you are unclear of and to find out what specifically applies to you. These are just a few things that come up frequently.
- You approached me, do I have to pay? - My approaching you means I saw something in your look and I want to capture it. If we screen each other and decide to shoot my base fees are waived on a TFP basis or discounted. Contact me for specifics .
- Do you only shoot with models an artists? - Everyday people and upcoming artists are who I prefer to shoot with. I like to give people the chance to have professional quality photos without having to pay extreme prices. Many in my portfolio aren't models at all.
- Do you shoot with film? - No, I work completely digital at 8 megapixels. A quality that provides prints above 8 x 10 inches.
- How do I get my photos? - Either digitally delivered via download link or on CD. They can be delivered if postage is paid but it's usually easier to meet up and have them delivered if a digital download will not work for you. I primarily give referrals to Adoramapix.com for prints. Currently I do not provide any printing but can assist you with the process.
- Will you retouch my photos? - My digital design and photography skills are treated separately. When the camera goes on I'm a photographer. I don't massively edit or retouch photos. Edits are done by request for paid clients aside from the standard fixes that come with shooting digitally. A lot of time and effort goes into editing photos so if many photos are selected for retouching there may be an additional cost. Rights can be given for editing when needed towards the completion of a specified project or work.
- Do you supply a make up artist? - If requested I arrange for what's needed per situation. However, I aim for natural looks which usually only require light makeup. Makeup is a wonderful thing to show diversity but you are who you are without it.
- Do you have your own studio? - No. Currently I shoot on location or rent space as needed and add that to the total cost. I always seek places with prices with respect to the clients budget. You do have a say.
- How long is your turn around time? - Usually digital proofs of the photos are posted for review within 48 hours of shooting, same day if possible after they are screened. Paid work always gets taken care of before TFP work. If you have a timeline to work with I should be made aware of that before or during the shoot. The faster you finish the proofing process and contact me, the shorter the completion time will be.
- What are digital proofs? - Digital proofs are the minimally edited and tagged web sized versions of the photos. After the photos are screened to see which ones are useable, they're posted to my server for you to review. Using the comment system you let me know your responses and specific requests. The proofing process is especially needed when there are many photos so I can give attention to what is needed.
- Who owns the rights to the photos? - By default as the photographer I own the intellectual rights. Usage rights are given through the release agreement which is available for review before shooting. I'm an ethical man who chooses not to use photos without consulting with or informing the subjects of the photo outside of editorial use. Respect and consideration is always given accordingly.

TFP & Discount Specifics
These specifics are general and can be adjusted per request.
- What is TFP? - Time in exchange For Photos. We both invest our time and energy towards photos we can both use.
- Who qualifies for discounts? - Usually shoots that are done on a promotional basis. Also those I have worked with or will work with multiple times and those who send me referrals. This however is not always available. It's done fully at my discretion selectively.
- How many photos do I get and what quality? (TFP) - My goal is quality not quantity. The amount of photos you get depends on the flow of the shoot. All photos taken are made available to you at web quality. Up to 10 photos of your choice will be made available at high resolution. Various sizes can be requested for web use. Depending on our particular agreement those details can change. I do make exceptions selectively.
- May I use the photos for profit? - Not with a TFP shoot. If you'd like photos for merchandising it would need to be mutually beneficial to us both. State the specifics of what you'd like with regards to usage and it can be discussed accordingly.
- What about credit and image marks? - One of the stipulations for TFP and discount photos for the web is that credit must always be listed with the photos. The photos are are delivered with a watermark or tag on the image or around the frame of if. If the image is to be used on your site, in order to keep with the flow of your site images can be provided with a small mark. A link must be provided linking back to my site. Credit must be given accordingly if the photo is edited by anyone other than myself.
- What is post pay? - A collaborative agreement where money is paid if or when money is made from the sale or use of a photo. This would be a percentage or set amount depending on the particular use of the photo. Done on an extremely selective basis including a non-compete clause.

Event & Behind the Scene
If you don't see the exact event you're having listed here provide clear details when you contact me.
- What are you available for? - I'm available for various events and productions. Family gatherings, performances, site content for party promoters (selectively), fashion shows, graduations, still captures for video productions, festivals, parades, etc.
- Who will you work for? - I prefer working directly with the event organizers, feature performers, main promoters or location owners. Basically the management of the occasion. If not directly, they should at least be made aware of me being called in.
- What's your particular style? - My goal is to capture shots that tell a story or represent the mood. If you're looking for a booty shooter that's not me. I won't be aiming for cleavage and back shots or staging scenes at the party. Photos are taken of individuals with their consent. Things always work out much smoother when those in attendance are aware of my presence. I will not go around convincing anyone to take a photo.
- Do you shoot weddings? - Willing to do small scale weddings. Receptions of all levels are types are fine. Do keep in mind that I only offer photos delivered on CD or DVD. Photo shoots for weddings done the standard way usually require a lot of post work. What I offer is to capture things as they took place.
